These rings feature ruby, sapphire, and emerald stones in 14k gold plated, sterling silver heart ring.  Ruby color depends on minerals that surround it when forming. If ferric iron is also present, the ruby will be a shade of orange or pink.   Ruby is one of the three colored precious stones, the other two being sapphire and emerald.
